Why I Listen – I was writing a crime thriller, set in the Northeast during winter about a bad person in a bad situation who keeps making bad choices. I wanted something cold and angry and unrelenting. I also wanted music I’ll actually listen to. So I put together a playlist of favorite indie rock acts of the last two decades that fit the bill.
